The Multistrada 950 is the ideal motorcycle for experiencing and enjoying the beauty of travelling every day thanks to the mix of Ducati riding pleasure and versatility that make it perfect for every use. The low weight, and the 19” front wheel ensure agility and ease of riding, while advanced technology ensures maximum safety and comfort in all conditions.
For the 2021 Model year, the Multistrada 950 S introduces the new “GP White” livery inspired by the MotoGP racing bike, which joins the classic Ducati Red version.
Based on a colour scheme that alternates between white and grey while maintaining the distinctive Ducati touch with some red accents on the frame and in the graphics on the alloy rims, this new version adds a sporty flair to the 950 S Multistrada, making elegance, flow and balance of the lines one of its strengths.
The engine on the Multistrada 950 is a 937 cm³ twin cylinder Testastretta 11° with Desmodromic valve. Euro 5 compliant (in Countries where the Euro 5 regulation is applicable), it features four valves per cylinder, a liquid cooling system and bore and stroke values of respectively 94 mm and 67.5 mm.

This engine can deliver a maximum power of 113 hp at 9,000 rpm and the compression ratio is 12.6:1. The Multistrada 950 engine breathes thanks to cylindrical-section throttle bodies with a diameter of 53 mm and a state of the art full Ride-by-Wire system.
Maintenance intervals are expected to be every 15,000 km (or 12 months), while valve play must be checked every 30,000 km.
The Multistrada 950 S comes standard with Ducati Quick Shift Up & Down (DQS), the system that lets you shift gear up and down without using the clutch, which translates into superior riding pleasure, greater ease handling off-road trails and a more relaxing ride in the city.

The Multistrada 950 is equipped with a wet clutch with self-servo action and anti-hop function. Its new hydraulic control system with adjustable lever help reduce lever effort. Because of this, the Multistrada 950 is easier on the gears, especially on city streets where acceleration and downshifting are more frequent.
The exhaust system layout consists of two primary manifolds converging directly into the 2-chamber muffler that acts as union, houses the catalytic converter and ends with a single side tailpipe, which was redesigned and made smaller in order to optimise the performance and noise output.
The “layout” adopted for the frame of the Multistrada 950 consists of a front trellis with large diameter thinner tubes, two cast side subframes enclosed by a rear support element made of fibre loaded engineering plastic for maximum torsional rigidity.

The new, lighter double-sided swinging arm is made of shell cast aluminium.
The Multistrada 950 S suspension is semi-active, controlled by the Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) Evo system and, thanks to complete adjustability using the new intuitive HMI interface, it can be set to 400 different configurations. No other bike in the class allows such precision.

The DSS Evo system makes it possible to vary the bike’s setup in a practical, intuitive and quick manner using the new HMI interface, to have the ideal suspension in any conditions. Simply select the riding mode – Touring, Sport, Urban or Enduro – and the load condition – single rider, rider with panniers, rider with passenger and rider with passenger and panniers. Moreover, it is also possible to act separately on the fork and on the shock absorber to make a fine adjustment of the front and rear suspension without the need for complicated settings. The system configuration possibilities are almost unlimited and there are up to 400 combinations of the parameters that can be electronically selected by the rider via the new interface.
The Multistrada 950 is fitted with new aluminium alloy rims, which were redesigned after the previous model and are approximately 500 g lighter in total. The sizes are 3.0” x 19’’ on the front and 4.5” x 17” on the rear, with Pirelli Scorpio Trail II tyres in sizes 120/70 ZR19 on the front and 170/60 ZR17 on the rear.

The Multistrada 950 is compatible with the new Ducati Link app, thanks to which it is possible to simply and intuitively set the travel mode (combination of Load and Riding Mode) and customise the parameters of each Riding Mode (ABS, Ducati Traction Control, etc.) using your smartphone.

Read moreThe Multistrada 950 S can be turned on without a key thanks to a Hands Free system that raises safety standards. Just get walk towards your bike with the electronic key in your pocket. When you are about 2 metres away the bike will recognise the key code and allow activation. At this point you can press the key-on button to turn on the instrument panel and then start the engine.

The S version is available in the classic Ducati Red colour with Ducati Red frame and Glossy Black wheels and in the new “GP White” livery, which alternates white and grey with Ducati Red accents, giving the bike a look that is both sporty and elegant.
